Family Movie Night – Come one come all to the 1 st Family Movie Night for Kindergarten thru 4 th Grade Parents and family members. This original event will take place on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the BCDC Park in Beckemeyer. The gates open at 7:00pm with the movie starting at 8:00pm. In case of rain, the movie will be moved to the Breese Cafeteria. The selected feature will be The Waterhorse . Concessions will be available and will include a hotdog, chips, and drink for just $1.00. Parents are encouraged to help chaperone. Thanks!

What's coming up…

1. Kids Night Out- Last Friday night was a HUGE SUCCESS!! 188 kids showed up and had a great time. Thanks to all who attended because $1725.00 was raised for Relay for Life!
2. Moms & Muffins on May 9th!: First Grade teachers welcome their students and Moms for a magical morning of fun-filled activities, muffins and drinks, 7:30am .
3. Band and Chorus Spring Concert: District 12 Band and Chorus have been practicing very hard for tomorrow nights concert! I can't help but take a “sneak-listen” (office location J ). Please do your best to attend…you are in for a treat!! See you there!
4. Bobcat Challenge Night- Tuesday!: May 6 th ! - what a fun and challenging way to begin the month of May! See you in the cafeteria!
5. Academic Awards: Don't forget, we will be honoring our students with an Academic Awards day in the gym at Breese starting at 1:00pm.
6. Secretaries' Day! On behalf of the staff and administration here at District 12, we'd like to share a special Thank You to our secretaries, Linda Forhan, Karen Astroth, Phyllis Furtwengler, Margie McQuade, and Jenny Schulte!
7. Early Dismissal: Don't Forget- Friday, May 4 th , is an Early, 11:30 A.M Dismissal! The PTC will be graciously hosting a Staff Appreciation Luncheon, and we'll use the afternoon to make preparations for many of the final tasks of the 2006-07 school year!
8. 8 th Grade Graduation Dance: We are asking parents for a final time to submit the $5 necessary in order to secure the dance for May 9 th ! Last call…please send ASAP!!
9. Carnival Day Volunteers: Friday, May 16 th , will be District 12 Carnival & Field Day! All students in K-3 will be celebrating at the Beckemeyer campus, 4-7 at the Breese campus, and the 8 th Graders are heading to Camp Joy on the 13th! If you can volunteer to assist, please send a note with your child to school next week. In advance, we THANK YOU for your help in this fun day!
10. Grades 3 & 4 Musical: Don't forget—Thursday, May 1 st at 7pm, Breese.
11. Final Plea: Whether dropping students off or picking them up…please BE CAREFUL!!!
12. IGA Fundraiser: Carlyle IGA will donate 10% of your purchase back to District12! ALL you have to do is SHOP,SHOP,SHOP on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday, May 1-3!!!!! Shop early and shop often!!!!! Your child will come home with the paperwork today!!!!!
